The front lace wig comes in both artificial and real hair, with the illusion of a natural front hairline that keeps hair away from the face. Lace front wigs are more expensive because each hair is individually hand-tied to a portion of clear lace (but not the entire wig cap). Most wigs are readily available and can be secured from temple to temple.

Lace front wigs are loved because they create the look of natural hair growth along the front hairline. This adds to the realistic appearance and allows for styling away from the face. The lace front is constructed with a fine, sheer material to which hair is individually hand-tied. Most are ready-to-wear (pre-trimmed or pre-cut), while others require some customization.
